I'm interested in other people train of thought where it comes to their roleplays, I wonder if anyone has a game plan, as in a long term plan as you know what you want to do with your character or do you just go with the flow and roll with the punches in which Lucas may throw your way

personally I like to think ahead for "Chaos Kid", but like everything things change and then its a mixture of game plan and roll with the punches with Lucas plans. Orginally when I entered ICW was going to be part of a stable with Mad Dog and Lawrence, but Lawrence went quickly awol, and Mad Dog style of rp, scared the hell out of me (anyone who saw his rp would understand why, lol), by luck I was tagged with Duke Koloff and then I happened to be in a stable. But I still think about what I'm going to do with Chaos Kid, and after my little break I'm going to continue with a game plan for CK

Like you said things change along the way depending on what gets thrown your way. So I would agree with you it's a little of both for me.

Cool discussion topic!
I usually know what points I want to hit before going in, like settings, some of the jokes, and who I need to talk to- but then it usually takes on a life of it's own after that. Actually this weekend I was gonna write the opening to an rp since I had that part pretty well scripted in my mind, but then suddenly I got in the groove and popped the whole thing out in one shot.
But that's how I write too; most of the stuff I've written recently usually takes off on its own and I just let my fingers do all the work. It's like I'm back in college or something, lol.
Duke, how do you write normally, like when doing essays or stories or something? Because that might help you to find the groove better

Most of the time when I'm writing I may think of an idea or a line and from there it just seems to develop but here lately I have been second guessing and trying to take more time to think things through before I post my roleplays

I'm going with the flow, whatever Lucas throws at me I'll work with in my roleplays

It's hit and miss with me. Sometimes I have no idea what I want to post when I sit down, sometimes, like with the shawns death mini arc, I know what I want to achieve weeks in advance. Hence the pregnancy. I find those much more fun, but you can't always be doing that lol

yeah I agree with Bobby, you might have a storyline but you also know it wont last for ever or you cant do it every week. I think its easier for guys at the top to make an impact, but its harder for the guy at the bottom, to get that same notice unless they make something happen instead of waiting for something to happen

Yeah I agree in a sense, but coming back from my honeymoon to be going against jack, I knew i needed to up the game.
A few weeks of grinding and putting in work pays off. Submit a few strats, pitch ideas. I mean I'll say if I notice someone put in something great, I mention it.
I don't think he would mind me saying it but maverick is a perfect example. He wasn't having a great time, he worked on it and improved. I asked Lucas for a program of some sort with him at some point. 3 wins and he could come out of the next week as a champion aswell as number one contender to two titles.

I agree totally what you are saying about Maverick, he asked for advice and he listened and he is reaping the rewards. But also you can look at your own improvement from your first rp here, you put alot of hard work in improving

I think there is a lot of great people here but lets be realistic even as the bottom people like myself struggle to improve for every step forward we take you guys that are on the top tier take two steps forward so how are we going to ever beat you all unless you all have one hell of a bad week.

Actually Duke,it happens.
And when it does is changes EVERYTHING
When a "bottom tier" guy suddenly crosses the threshold into ME-level glory it's a wonderful thing and something that makes an owner proud.
I'd say stop worrying about your win/loss or any solid plan Duke, just go out, have fun with Duke and no-sell any losses (or wins) you have. 2nd guessing only makes things worse

Yeah I haven't really been worrying about my record lately just wanting to beat the top guys or at least one I have been having fun with my character trying to develop his story

Well that's the real focus. I have my best win/loss record with the guy who I literally built with no care of his win/loss record or belts, lol. My main guy ate really embarrassing pins and this guy I use now won a tournament on accident just because the rps were fun for everyone to read.
You never know how it's gonna go down, lol. So having fun within your character and enjoying everyone else's is always a good start

Well I am going with a game plan I am not worried about a win-loss record yes it will be nice to win but as long as I inspire someone who needs it I'm doing great
