What did everyone think of WWE Summerslam?

I found it quite entertaining. There were surprises, good matches, and I was happy with the winners. Plus I got to watch Braun beat the crap out of Brock, which was oh so satisfying.

I wasn't impressed but never been with WWE, I was happy they did not hand Reigns the title like they did for Seth and Dean. I would have liked them to have let Braun win the championship and also would have liked to see Jinder lose his

Braun is going to get it. I really believe that, but Brock keeping it works. It holds off until he drops it to Strowman.

I love how Vince's mind works.
Vince's Brain: I need to protect Brock, he is a huge draw and if I mess up his UFC career, it could hurt things for me as well. Vince's Mouth: Let's put Brock through 2 tables and generally have everyone manhandle the crap out of him.
Jinder is a balls awesome champ Duke; he looks good with the belt and he wrestles good enough. The only thing he's got on the downside is that he wings almost exclusively through cheating- I noticed that it's gotten to the point that at SS he instinctively grabbed the tights even on a pin where Nakamura was supposed to kick out

Isn't that what a good heel does though mongo? It makes you question whether he would have won without cheating. That being said there's a fine line with making him look weak. Cheating vs Randy Orton is ok, but if he grabs heath slaters tights, then this statement gets retracted lol.

That's true, and he did beat Corbin legitimately. I dunno, one of people's major complaints about KO's run as champ was that Y2J interfered in EVERY match. I like Jinder as champ, so I don't want people to have a chance to complain about him, lol.
I'm a little disappointed that Corbin lost clean; I feel like having him get DQed through some violent means might have been better; especially since I think Cena is gonna jump to Raw soon. Aside from that, the match was better than expected- especially Corbin's side of it

Jinder is the only champion due to current American politics if he wasn't or didn't look like an Iraqi he wouldn't be champion but because he does it brings in a storyline people love to hate now he cheats every match which makes him even worse all around as for Corbin he has no charisma enough said about him. Now Brock winning is a hell of a lot better than giving it to a no talent hack like Roman Reigns who only have a job in WWE due to his family ties with the company As for Braun Strowman I can't wait until they start using him like they should he is the next big thing the next Kane/Taker

Actually, Jinder is only champ because WWE was expanding their business into India. The racial stuff came from Vince and Mahal was initially leery of doing it- but as you said it's working now.
Corbin has the tools, but he's still young and just needs to get a grip on things better. When he's trying hard he's crisp in the ring and sharp on the mic, but he's had a rough few months of it; that's true.
I'm not real keen on Brock as champ just because he's blatantly breaking the old 30-day rule and they're keeping the title on him regardless. I'd much rather they put the title on Joe; he's doing an amazing job. When I watch Joe, I feel like he might actually "go into business for himself" because he totally seems like he could- which means he's doing a great job getting his character over.
Strowman is real new to everything still and Vince is trying to protect him so they can get a good long-term benefit out of this giant as opposed to Big Show. From what I've heard, they're real hard on every mess-up he makes because they're so invested in him. It's really hard not to mess up a giant, and WWE is trying their best not to mess up Strowman. To that end it might be a while before he's champ simply because 1) he doesn't need to be with Brock there as a "big guy" draw 2) He can get even better and more powerful without being in title matches and 3) It staves off the day when he has to lose the title longer, lol

Well, I agree Jinder was a good pick but not my favorite at least he has put in some work and paid some dues before getting handed the title.
As for Brock and the 30-day rule if you look back at the past decade a lot of the heels or hand picked champs have done that it's just more of a problem with the fans because it's Brock Lesnar doing it now no one complained when Punk did it.
Storwman I believe if they don't want to put a title on him yet then he should have some big named may be specialty matches that he dominates at least 70% of the match and receives the win.
Corbin to me is just another dime a dozen wrestler.

Duke, wwe have been using political tension for years for heels. Sgt slaughter is the first one that springs to mind and he was American lol

Punk did it too!? I took a 7 year hiatus from everything and Punk was in those years. That's total crap if he wasn't defending either. The WWE needs to be more stringent about that; having title matches only at PPVs is silly.
I agree about Strowman, it's very cathartic watching him beat big names to a pulp. His stuff with Reigns was great and watching him take my frustrations out on Brock was like medicine at SS. But just feeding him little guys doesn't work (as you said); they need to find him bigger prey- or let him keep beating up Roman some more, that's always fun.
Corbin is big (physically) though, and as Enzo says, it is something that isn't teachable. But wrestling skills and mic work are teachable; Corbin is still learning.

Yeah what gets me is they allowed Punk and Brock to defend whenever they want but heaven forbid it if Daniel Bryan or Naomi or someone else gets hurt or may not be able to defend in a 30-day limit they strip them of the championship faster than shit
Yes, Corbin is big but look at some of the big guys they have had some of them were just pointless others were amazing with a little more time we will see what Corbin is.

I think Corbin is great. He s got a real presence and natural charisma about him, even if his hair is shit lol. With Braun, he can still look strong even in a loss. You don't need to GO over to GET over

Yeah, that's been bugging me, especially with Naomi, who actually did come back pretty quickly.
Yeah, we'll give him time, that's the best idea.
So how about Enzo stripping down to his boxers, oiling himself up, and slipping through the bars? It wasn't a good match, and they just knocked Enzo out as soon as he landed; but the spot was fun and brought a new edge to the shark cage stuff

Yeah but Braun should be billed as a monster like Kane and Taker was when they first showed up or like Big show when he started in WCW or hell He should be written for like Andrea was he was unstoppable and only lost once in a blue moon but he still made others look good in their matches.
I believe Enzo should stop trying to ride others coat tails and move on to the cruiserweight division and let us see what he really can do

Summerslam was the best WWE PPV in a while. They wasted the HArdys and the New Day/Uso match on the preshow. What good is having the Hardys there if they wrestle in front of 25 people. Is Vince trying to rip off TNA?
The Raw Tag Team Title match was brilliant. I liked the main event. Everything else was decent to pretty good.
That being said, I thought Destination X was a better show.
